Attorney Biography
Noelle Phelan is an Associate with Pierce Davis & Perritano LLP.
Ms. Phelan's practice primarily focuses on the defense of asbestos, toxic tort, and product liability actions for a variety of clients, including equipment and product manufacturers, suppliers and contractors. She represents clients through all stages of litigation, from initial case assessment to trial preparation. Her experience includes defending fact witness depositions, managing written and expert discovery, and engaging in dispositive and evidentiary motion practice, while developing strategic defenses tailored to the unique circumstances of each case.
Prior to joining the firm as an attorney, Ms. Phelan was a paralegal with Pierce Davis & Perritano for five years. That experience gave her an in-depth understanding of the procedural requirements and defense strategies employed in the asbestos litigation across various jurisdictions. She gained insight into effective litigation approaches that, when combined with her knowledge of client needs and defenses, allowed her to transition seamlessly into her role as counsel.
During law school, Ms. Phelan was a member of and served as editor of the Journal of High Technology Law, exploring topics at the intersection of law and emerging innovative technology. She was also selected to participate in the inaugural year of the Suffolk Innocence Clinic, where she worked directly on cases involving wrongful convictions and engaged in post-conviction review. Those experiences honed her legal research, analytical writing, and investigative skills, and reinforced her belief in the importance of precise and thorough advocacy. She earned dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in English and Sociology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, graduating as a member of the Commonwealth Honors College. In her undergraduate studies, she developed the ability to synthesize complex information, communicate persuasively, and approach issues from a multidisciplinary perspective. Her educational foundation and her years of practical litigation experience have enabled her to serve as a strategic advocate for the firm’s clients.
