Attorney Biography

Edward M. Pikula is of counsel with Pierce Davis &Perritano LLP.

Serving as City Solicitor for the City of Springfield from2006 to 2022, he has also maintained a private practice since 1983. Hisleadership in the legal community includes terms as President of theMassachusetts Municipal Lawyers Association and as a member of theMassachusetts Bar Association Public Law Section Council.

With over forty years of experience in state and federaltrial and appellate courts, his career highlights also include delivering oralargument before the United States Supreme Court. His extensive background spansthe representation of public officials, municipalities, government agencies,and individuals across the state.

An active scholar and educator, Attorney Pikula haspublished legal articles in the Massachusetts Law Review, MassachusettsLawyers Journal, and the Municipal Advocate. This expertise extendsto lecturing before professional groups and serving as an adjunct facultymember at local colleges and universities.

A graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst andWestern New England University School of Law, his public service has beenrecognized with awards from the Massachusetts Bar Association, the HampdenCounty Bar Association, and the St. Thomas More Society. He continues tomaintain his law office in downtown Springfield.
